Make a Cactus and Succulent Dish(Mini) Garden-SV
When I was growing up in southern Illinois we always had cool pots and ceramic containers , not to mention a genuine hog trough, full of cactus, succulents, and rose moss! We called them dish gardens. The cheerful colors and fun shapes grew so well in the hot summer sunshine.
So, come have some planting fun and make one at the library.
Please bring a clay pot , a fun ceramic container, oversized cup or mug, and also bring a pair of garden gloves to handle prickly cactus.. A variety of mini cactus, succulents and rose moss will be available as well as the planting medium and tools needed. Donations of plants are welcome . We can share plants with each other.
This fun program is for anyone who is a plant lover. Great for older kids, families, adults. Sign up is required so we have an estimate of how many plants will be needed.
